I've read this twice now. Very much enjoy the stories of each birth - how different they are, how differently they're told, who they're told by. Such a range here, from parents recalling more than one birth to new mothers recalling a recent birth experience to fathers and how being present at a birth affected them. There's even a piece by Joseph Boyden, which actually starts with a death. A literary look at the beginning of life. Someone who's never had a baby might not be interested; anyone who has would probably enjoy this. Tears & laughter both.
