Born (1452) in Florence, Italy - (painter/sculptor/inventor) Leonardo Da Vinci is considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time.

Da Vinci was a diversely talented individual and a foremost genius of his generation of artists.

Impressively compiled by Bulent Atalay - This glossy volume not only looks at the life and times of Da Vinci - But (through viewing his most important paintings) it closely analyses his stylistic development, as well.

*Note* - In 1519 - Leonardo Da Vinci (67 at the time) died of a stroke.

Reproductions of paintings are very nice, a feast for the eyes and the brain.
