This book is massive. It is filled with pictures and text from Time's writers who cover the world. The book is divided into chapters: pedosphere,
hydrosphere, biosphere, cryosphere and geosphere. You learn about the animals and the natural environment that they inhabit. Man's impact in each of these sphere's is noted. How they have harmed the earth but also the movies Deep Impact and Armageddon helped budget the NASA"s Near Earth Objects. A group that monitors asteroids and comets that threaten to reach earth. This book moves in between fun facts, humor intermixed with large gorgeous photos. A great research book for anyone who has to do a science project. A great read on how to understand how our world functions for adults.
