As with most Neal Stephenson Books, this one starts very slow but it certainly pays to hang in there! Great story.

This book is very long (It's Stephenson after-all) but does a very good job of transporting the reader to another world, similar to our own, but with vastly different cultural and technological variations. As a philosophy major and a lover of odd sci-fi I really did enjoy this book.
