This book, while starting slow, really gets your attention and I found myself in tears at various parts of it because it is so, so moving! I highly recommend it to everyone!

Fascinating & Intriguing :)
Tackles the tough questions about suffering & where is God in the midst of horrible experiences in our lives & the world. Very provocative & insightful. It will test your view of God & inspire you to change how you think about God. Definitely worth reading or listening to (audio version).. Enjoy :)

While I found the death of Missy disturbing and unfair, I could identify with several of the emotions her father felt as he worked through the aftermath. I found that this book tackled questions that many have asked and provided satisfactory answers. I especially enjoyed the audiobook version, both for the character voices and the additional info at the end.

One man's attempt to describe God with his imagination. I did not expect him to come close but he still failed miserably. At time his description was weird and offensive.

I bought and read the book about 2 years ago. I wanted to read it again but had given my copy to a friend. I decided to try the audio book instead. I loved it! The voice of Roger Mueller adds so much to the story. At the end, the author (who also has a great voice) gives his reasons for writing the book and explains how it came to be published, among other revelations. His information is a fascinating supplement to the story. I recommend The Shack to those who believe in God and those who do not. I also recommend it to people who have endured hardship in their lives. It may give you some hope. Despite the fact that the story is sad, I came away from it with a feeling of redemption, peace and hope. I give this story a 5 star rating!

I have listen to this book and have read it. It can be a life changing book on the understanding of how God, the Father, God the Son and God, the Holy Spirit loves us intimately. It is a story of a father and his interaction with the Trinity when is dealing the the murder of his child by a serial killer.
