A down-and-out film producer agrees to make his nephew's film about the 19th century English statesman Benjamin Disraeli. They can only get financing if he can cast a well-known action star. However, production is halted when the lead actor is kidnapped from the European film set. The producer hatches a scheme with a struggling creative executive to save the star and the movie.

Expected better, but it was ...'O.K.'.
Macy and Meg ,..chemistry ???
But it WAS an amusing spoofing of the whole movie-making cult and culture,. and peppered with really funny moments.

Skip It – The Deal (2008) 100 min. How does a film starring the great William H. Macy and Meg Ryan fail? Terrible script! The story is so uneventful that one wonders why such a story was filmed; boring to the nth degree. Probably my shortest review but I have nothing good to say about this film.
