Kaim has escaped the war in Afghanistan and found refuge of a sort with an old couple who run a hotel/gas station and a smuggling operation bringing Afghan men into Iran. Kaim runs through each day helping with everything old Khan needs or wants done.

it's not always easy to figure out exactly what is happening except that they are all surviving as best they can.

the movie is dedicated to the children of war.

Beautiful scenery. Look at life through the eyes of a young Afghan refugee who works at the Delbaran Hotel near the Afghan-Iran border. I found it painfully repetitive and slow, but it sheds some light on the complexity of life there.

A real eye opener about an Afghan boy, Kaim, who works 24/7 in the border town of Delbaran. It's a forgotten place up in the dusty foothills of barren mountains. He is shunned by authorities and despite his aged foster parents he does not belong anywhere. The pictures of dusty roads and remote landscapes will haunt you brilliantly. Though the story is thread-bare, the tenacity of this kid will impress you.
