A music teacher takes in a struggling writer who takes advantage of the music teacher's hospitality. The writer accidentally dies and comes back to life. Then the music teacher publishes the young writer's first novel as his own. I enjoyed this movie but I felt like it needed to be longer. If I was the director I would have had the writer's ghost toy with the music teacher a little bit longer until he confessed to everyone that the novel wasn't his and........ I would have enjoyed it if the ending was the music teacher being dragged away to the "funny farm". (the mental institution).

Skip It – Ghost Writer (2007) 92 min. The film is also known as “Suffering Man’s Charity”. Alan Cummings stars and directs this black comedy, which I had a difficult time getting into. It’s difficult to figure out what’s going on throughout most of the film other than to know that Cummings rents an apartment to David Boreanaz (of Angel and Bones fame), a writer, who returns after being killed to take vengeance on Cummings who uses Boreanaz’ story as his own. The story seems simple enough but the editing and useless repartee between the characters makes this film terribly uneven.
