I never knew that Hollywood was so reluctant to take on Hitler and the Nazi's. interesting that Charlie Chaplin funded his own film, The Great Dictator, so that he could portray Hitler as he saw him.

I'm not a war movie buff but this was an interesting doc.

An excellent summary of how Hollywood portrayed the Holocaust in its movies. Without its timidity during the years of the war, perhaps 400,000 Jews would have been saved if the Americans were shown at the time of what was happening, but sadly Hollywood kept the Americans ignorant. Only in the last few decades has Hollywood allowed a fraction of the horrors of the Holocaust to be shown.
