Mario Sports Mix is another one of those local multiplayer-style Mario games like Mario Party and Mario Strikers. The game includes five different modes, basketball, dodgeball, volleyball, hockey and a campaign tournament where you play all of the sports as you advance in the circuit. The game also has several minigames that I thought would be boring and unexpired, but they provide a nice bit of fun if your not looking to play-through one of the full sports. The visuals for the game are good, similar to later Mario Party entries being bright and colorful. The different sports are all really fun to play-through, obviously I like some more than others, but there isn't a sport that I actively dislike playing, but even if you did, you could play one of the other three sports. Each sports has a lot of progression in it, as you can unlock different courts and fields or even new characters, so each sport has a lot to offer for those invested. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Mario Sports Mix, but I am pleasantly surprised to say that it is in fact, a really solid and fun party style game.
