The Snowman is a well-constructed novel, and I liked that Harry Hole is an imperfect protagonist who nevertheless doesn't let his personal demons interfere with finding a serial killer. It doesn't take more than about half the book to figure out who the perpetrator is and, while I would have liked to wonder longer, knowing didn't ruin the book for me. Lots of creepiness and some insights into a twisted mind, which I like in crime fiction. Based on this introduction to Jo Nesbo, I wouldn't hesitate to read another of the Harry Hole series.
