For fantasty lovers, here's a twist. Looking at the cover, I expected to start reading in a female's perspective...9 pages in - BAM! - it's a male's perspective. Ok, I can deal with that (although it really threw me for a loop). This is a challenging read, as the style is tough and abstract - borderline stream of conscience (although thankfully there is punctuation). A debut Canadian author, set in Toronto's underground and "Above", this is a story of love and finding, with a fantastical element (including shape shifting and other strangeness).
