As a twelve-year old, this was a harder read for me. So many unfamiliar words. Why, I couldn't even pronounce the five factions right at the beginning. Divergent starts off really well, but it becomes quite tragic at the end, and I tend to get emotional if a story does not end well. It's not like I tear up, but a heavy feeling clings to me throughout the day and I feel a pang of sadness in my chest ever so often. But overall it is a good book and I would definitley recommend it to teenagers, because I think the five factions are a good reminder for people in their teens these days to remember that there is more to becoming a young adult than just intimacy, drinking, etc. (Of course there are also many teenagers who don't get involved in such things, nor are all of them so bad). Those of you who enjoy action and romance, I suggest reading "A Court of Thorns and Roses" by Sarah J Maas if you haven't already.
