Excellent book! The author does an outstanding job of creating an image of the small town, to the point where the town is like another character. Characters who are minor to the story - including those who appear for 1 page only - seem to have such depth, because one can see them in the setting. The book - and Killing in the Hills - were both so good that in the end, I didn't really care who the killers were. The overall story and writing took over.
